IBNA- A book in Malay language, 'General Qasem Soleimani: The Wayfarer Who Ended ISIS' which portrays the role of Martyr Soleimani in crushing the terrorist Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant has been published in Malaysia.
The book has been authored by Alfian Hamzah, Irman Abdurahman and Musa Kazim. The Other Press affiliated to Islamic Book Trust has released 'General Qasem Soleimani: The Wayfarer Who Ended ISIS'. Moreover, an English edition of the book has been printed by the Other Press Sdn Bhd.
The English version features a foreword by an Indonesian writer Zuhairi Misrawi, who first gained public notice as a young intellectual at Nahdlatul Ulama, and a traditionalist member of the Sunni Islam group in Indonesia.
Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani was the commander of the Quds Force, the overseas arm of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). He was martyred during a U.S. airstrike in Baghdad on January 3, 2020, along with Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, deputy commander of the Popular Mobilisation Forces (PMF, or Hashd al-Shaabi) as well as eight other Iranian and Iraqi companion officers.
