IBNA- A famed Iranian poet from the northwestern city of Kermanshah Mohammad-Javad Mohabbat passed away after years of illness and heart failure today. He was 80.
The 'Two Pines', a masanvi which tells the story of friendship between two pine trees and its impact on communication lines outside a village, made Mohabbat famous in Iran after the poem appeared in schoolbooks, IRNA reported.
From 1983, the poet was a member of a group of writers and contributors of textbooks for Iranian schoolchildren.
