IBNA- Persian translation of the twist-filled scorching new thriller 'A Slow Fire Burning' ‎‎(2021) by British author Paula Hawkins best known for her top-selling psychological ‎thriller ‘The Girl on the Train’ (2015) has been published.‎

A classic whodunit that unfolds the mystery until the very last page, the book has been translated into Persian by Hadiyeh Gerami Moghaddam. Tehran-based Amut Publishing has released 'A Slow Fire Burning' in 352 pages.
When a young man is found gruesomely murdered in a London houseboat, it triggers questions about three women who knew him. Laura is the troubled woman last seen in the victim’s home. Carla is his grief-stricken aunt, already mourning the recent death of yet another family member.
And Miriam is the nosy neighbor clearly keeping secrets from the police. Three women with separate connections to the victim. Three women who are- for different reasons- simmering with resentment.
Who are, whether they know it or not, burning to right the wrongs done to them. When it comes to revenge, even good people might be capable of terrible deeds. How far might any one of them go to find peace? How long can secrets smolder before they explode into flame?
The New York Times comments on this novel: “Only a clairvoyant could anticipate the book’s ending”
An excerpt from the book reads:

"She was struck by the smell. Underneath the blood, all that blood, there was something else, something older, sweet and rank, like lilies left too long in the vase. The smell and the look of him, impossible to resist, his beautiful dead face, glassy eyes framed by long lashes, plump lips drawn back from even, white teeth. His torso, his hands, and arms were a mess of blood, his fingertips curled to the floor. As though he was hanging on. As she turned to leave, her eye snagged on something on the floor, something out of place-a glint of silver mired in sticky, blackening blood..."
