IBNA- The unveiling ceremony of an art book 'Uecker, Hafez, Goeteh: Orient and Occident Can No Longer Be Separated' by Günther Uecker will be held at the 73rd Frankfurt Book Fair (FBF) today.
The book portrays the mystical manifestations of Hafez in the works of German artist Günther Uecker, a sculptor, op artist and installation artist, public relations office of Iran's Book and Literature House reported.
The ceremony will be attended by Iran’s Cultural Attaché to Germany Hamid Mohammadi; CEO of Iran's Book and Literature House Ayyoub Dehghankar; Iranian Director of the project Afshin Derambakhsh; German author Barbara Steingiesser; Director of Goethe Museum Düsseldorf Christof Wingertszahn.
Uecker's oeuvre includes painting, object art, installations as well as stage designs and films. His origins explain his interest in the eastern European avant-garde of the 1920s and 1930s, but he is likewise interested in Asian cultures and their ideas. His works can be seen in collections and large fairs in the West as well as the East. Uecker's artistic creativity reaches a climax in 2000 in the prayer room he designs for the rebuilt Reichstag building in Berlin.
The event will be held today at 3 p.m. Frankfurt time (4:30 p.m. Tehran time) at Irans stand in the 73rd Frankfurter Buchmesse.
