IBNA- The Head of Publishing and Press Affairs of the Tajikistan’s Ministry of Culture ‎Rahman Ali Mir-Alizadeh stressed that the participation of people and foreign ‎representatives in the 34th Tehran International Book Fair (TIBF) is remarkable. ‎

Speaking to IBNA, Mir-Alizadeh said that Tehran Book Fair stands above other book fairs of the neighboring countries in the true sense of the word. This is due to displaying numerous books in this fair as well as the attendance of domestic and foreign visitors in this event. Therefore, this fair distinguishes itself from other book fairs, and personally, he has not seen any fair like the Tehran Book Fair.
 
"In this exhibition, we have brought over 500 titles of books from various Tajikistan publications, which cover literature, poetry, research works, encyclopedic works, historiography in Tajik language," he said, adding, “These books are not for sale, and they are solely intended to introduce Tajik culture to Iranian people. However, if visitors are interested in a particular book, they offer it as a present.”
 
"The people’s interest to this fair and our stand has been extraordinary, and we never expected such a warm welcoming. Every day, we witness a large number of visitors coming to the Tajikistan’s stand. These visitors have a great interest in Tajik culture and often ask us about Tajikistan and its culture," Mir-Alizadeh stated.
 
"The cultural relations between Iran and Tajikistan are growing year by year. For example, in the previous year, we participated in the exhibition as regular guests, while in this edition, we are present as guest of honor. We are delighted and grateful to the Ministry of Culture of the Islamic Republic of Iran for providing such an opportunity."
 
With the motto, "The future is readable", the 34th Tehran International Book Fair opened on May 10 ‎and will continue until May 20. The fair has been held both by physical presence in Mosalla (Grand Prayer Ground) of Imam Khomeini, ‎and virtually on https://ketab.ir.
