Secretariat of the congress of Islamic international resistance poetry has received some 600 works mostly belonging to the national section.
IBNA: Reza Esmaeeli, a member of the juries committee of the 3rd congress of resistance poetry said: “Last Wednesday was announced as the deadline and according to the statistics, so far works of 162 people have been received of which 55 are women.”
He added: “In the national section, 500 poems, 35 articles, four theses and 5 literary notes were received while the foreign section received three works. The secretariat collected works in the field of children and young adults as well. The articles will be evaluated by Javad Mohaghegh and the poems will be screened by Ahmad Nademi, Hussein Esrafili and me.”
Last year 1300 works were submitted to the secretariat of the resistance poetry festival. The works have decreased this year which may be due to the elimination of the Sacred Defense works from the resistance poetry; according to the call only works themed on resistance were evaluated.
Talking about the foreign works, he added: “Last year 30 foreign poets were invited to the congress and their works were released as a book after the poems were evaluated. Less foreign works were submitted for the 3rd edition which can be due to the weak advertisements outside Iran.”
