General manager of Khorasan Jonoubi Public Libraries Foundation said that a contest will be held in the province on the books about Imam Mahdi (the 12th Shia Imam) on the occasion of his birthday anniversary.
He went on to say that the questionnaires of the contest will be distributed among the libraries and interested participants can take part in the event through the Network of Professional Book Readers of the province. Winners will receive handsome awards.
In Islamic eschatology, the Mahdi (ISO 233/ English: Guided One) is the prophesied redeemer of Islam who will rule for seven, nine or nineteen years- (according to various interpretations) before the Day of Judgment (the Day of Resurrection) and will rid the world of wrongdoing, injustice and tyranny.
