The CEO of Revayat-e Fath Publication Institute said the panel of judges for the Resistance Book of the Year has announced that 380 of the submitted works have made it to the second phase of assessments.
IBNA: Mohammad Hussein Karimipur said that the works were screened in the six categories of documented literature, fiction literature, research literature and criticism, poetry, Soft War, and arts.
Executive manager of the Revayat-e Fath Publication Institute and one of the organizers of the first Martyr Avini award said that works published in the years of 2009 and 2010 were considered for the award. And to that effect, the databases of the Book House Institute and specialized libraries in resistance referred to and 18,000 works were mustered to be considered by the panel of judges..
Of the bulk of the mustered works, 1720 works were selected to be scrutinized the judges to release a shortlist of 380 works, he added.
He went on to say that the 6 categories of the award are documentary literature (memories, reports, biographies, wills, interview), poetry (including all poetry styles), fiction literature (novels, long stories, short stories, fiction biographies), research literature and criticism (works on culture, literature, politics and society), Soft War (cultural invasions and threats, national security, propaganda, psychological war and operations) and arts (pictures, plays, screenplays, and visual arts).
The closing ceremony of the award has been arranged by the Revayat-e Fath (narrations of the conquest) Publication Institute and the cultural department of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance on April 10, 2012.
