Mohsen Parviz, cultural deputy of Guidance Ministry, said the Book of the Year Award of the Islamic Republic of Iran is aimed at strengthening study grounds on Iran and Islam throughout the world. The 27th book of the Year Award will be held on Monday this week at Tehran's Vahdat Hall.

An MOU was signed this morning (February 6) between Iran national libraray and archive and the University of Tehran according to which the faculty of library and information science will be established for the first time in Iran.

During 23- 27 January (first week of Bahman, 11 month of Iranian calendar) some 443 educational and supplementary educational books were published which were the highest publication rate. Among the books, 3 were translations and the rest were compilations.

“From moon to fish” a sonnet collection composed by Pantea Safaee is to be published by Isfahan’s Galamestan. Safaee believes that mostly the collection’s poetries enjoy similar themes thus she has collected her recent poetries in a book entitled “Clouds have such mixed whims” which will be released soon.
