A press conference was held here in Tehran, May 6, 2013, in the presence of the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Mohammad Husseini, on the upcoming culture ministerial summit of Asian Cooperation Dialogue. In his address, Husseini asserted that Iran will move along the path to expansion of its cultural ties with other Asian nations in the summit.

An eloquent description of the spiritual basis of Islamic calligraphy is contained in an old and beautiful Persian manuscript in the Punjab University Library, Lahore. Entitled Adab al-mashq ("Manners of Practice"), this book is an autograph written in the seventeenth century by the Iranian calligrapher Baba Shah Isfahani.
