IBNA: As the "Al-arab Al-youm" daily that is published in Jordan has reported, the French government's decision shocked the French and Turkey cultural society. 

The French publisher's community that will supervise the 2010 book fair excluded Turkey as a guest of honor. 

They announced that their decision was not political and Turkey will attend the next fair as a guest of honor. 

This is the second time that Turkey is expelled as a guest of honor in Paris international book fair. 

In 2008, Israel was replaced with Turkey in a strange action. Arab writers, publishers and cultural bodies decided to boycott the event in response. 

Following the event, the head of 25 Arab union countries wrote an objection letter to Jean Félix the French ambassador to Egypt. 

In another development Arab author's union condemned Israel as a guest of honor,and called that action as a weak point in the French government towards the Zionists and their rebellious culture.
