Head of Majlis library's docs' center, orator of Iran-Afghanistan written heritage conference, said that the event was a great step for the beginning and added: "With creating an Afghanistan section in the Majlis library hope that the move expands to neighboring countries with which we have common languages."
IBNA: Talking about the conference's achievements Ali Tatari said: "There are 3 Persian language countries in the region which enjoy common traditions and customs as well as race relationship, but unfortunately a serious work hasn’t been accomplished in the filed as it enjoys great capacities."

He added:" The conference was the first proposal on assessing written common international works which was welcomed warmly. Many Afghan figures from all over the world, including Europe and Tajikistan, attended the event."

The contemporary history researcher added:" Many individuals from the deputy of Afghanistan's Majlis till scientific figures who reside in Iran and Afghanistan attended the conference. As the Majlis speaker, Dr. Ali Larijani, the head of the doc's center, museum and library, Dr. Rasoul Jafarian and the Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister, Seyyed Mohamamd Husseini had talked about, hope that in the future the strategic programs will be aimed so their achievements flourish."

As the conference was held for the first time it may have had weak points, but with expanding it to Tajikistan and other neighboring countries we will boost its strong points.", he added.

He asserted: "For the conference, Majlis library has published a book jointly with the institute of Print Contemporary Studies which is a collection of Iran and Afghanistan's common heritage and history. The book was presented alongside a CD holding Afghanistan's selected journals and the program's exclusive pamphlet."

He went on to say that beside the written works we have many joint historical points with our neighbors for instance since the Achaemenid Empire till the 19th century, Iran and Afghanistan were a country named the Empire of Iran. Certainly books will recount a part of the joint history thus books and other publications are the conferences' main theme."

Moreover he said: "We are willing to expand Majlis library's activities on Afghanistan with introducing Afghan authors and researcher's new works and publishing them."

The first conference of Iran-Afghanistan written heritage conference was held Saturday July 3, at the Majlis Library.
