After publication of Lorca’s poems A collection of Neruda’s poems to release in Persian
50 pieces of poems by Pablo Neruda concerning man and nature are converted into Persian by Zahra Rahbani and will be released by Golazin Publications. Her translation of Federico Garcia Lorca’s poems is recently released by the same publisher. IBNA: This year ‘A Collection of Federico Garcia Lorca’s Poems’ were published in 300 pages with Zahra Rahbani’s translation and by Golazin Publications. She announced that her translation of Pablo Neruda’s poems is also completed and will be released by Golazin Publications. Both volumes are bilingual (Spanish-Persian).
In an interview with IBNA, Rahbani said the collection of Pablo Neruda’s poems includes 50 pieces of his works in about 250 pages. The translation is over and the book is under publication by Golazin.
Rahbani added that nature and human feelings of sorrow and happiness make the main subject of these poems. In other words, the poems are mainly about human nature. She continued: “Neruda’s poems are conceptual. On the one hand he is influenced by sociopolitical conditions of Chile and his political activities as a diplomat or senator, and on the other hand they have a glance at nature. In other words, the poet is inspired by his internal mood. He took refuge in nature in loneliness and then took the inspiration with him back to the social world of activities. ”
Pablo Neruda was born in 1904. He was a Chilean poet, diplomat, politician and winner of the Nopbel Prize. He passed away on September 23, 1973.
Rahbani then mentioned her translation of poems by Federico Garcia Lorca and said: “The poems are my own choice and I have chosen about 50 pieces of Lorca’s poems for this volume.”
She continued: “Most of these poems are from Lorca’s last poetic work Sonnets to his dark love. The book, however, was completely published in 2007 by Negah Publications.”
“Image plays a key role in Lorca’s poetry. Without exaggeration, I believe that Lorca for Spain is like Nima Youshij for us and despite Neruda whose poems are mainly conceptual, Lorca’s are full of special imagery.”
She remarked that the new edition of the collection Federico Garcia Lorca’s Poems will be soon reprinted by the publisher.
