Persian Gulf Book Award goes Int'l
The biennial Persian Gulf Book Award will consider works published within the last 30 years on the region in the world. The festival is endorsed and supported by the cultural department of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. IBNA: All the books, articles and papers published in the last 30 years on the Persian Gulf region in the world will be assessed by the panel of judges of the award, said Habibollah Esmaeili, the festival’s scientific secretary.
As he stated, all the interested researchers may submit their works, including university theses as well, to the award’s secretariat by December 20, 2012.
The International Persian Gulf Biennial Book Award is held in 4 sections of history (general and political), documents and evidence and travelogues, geography of the region, maps and dialects, literature (poetry and prose) and research papers.
He went on to say that the closing ceremony of the festival will be held on April 2013 parallel with the Persian Gulf National Day in Bushehr.
Furthermore, Esmaeili added that the Book House Institute has published the last two volumes of the Persian Gulf research bulletin parallel with the day this year.
