Specialized stamp of 18th Holy Defense Poetry Congress was unveiled on the first day of the congress's meeting as Fars province's governor called it a cultural movement. The head of the province's Preservation of Relics Foundation said that poets are the best samples for the next generation."

IBNA: IBNA's correspondent in Shiraz said: "The opening ceremony of the 18th Holy Defense Poetry Congress was held on Tuesday in Shiraz by Foundation for the preservation of relics and values of the Holy Defense."

The head of Fars foundation for the preservation of relics and values of the Holy Defense, Colonel Heidar Bahrami welcomed the poets and stated: "Shiraz is a city of science, culture, literature and the land of Sadi ad Hafez. Shirazis are famous throughout the world for their Iranian culture and history civilization."

He added: "Veterans of the imposed war reflect war values by getting inspired by Imam Khomeini, reviver of Islam."

Bahrami went on to say that the filed of poetry and literature is a matter of pride as it is a precious tool for expanding Ashoura culture as well."

Finally the head of Fars foundation for the preservation of relics said:" Narrating the memorial scenes of the Holy Defense as poetries, will describe the best samples for next generations."

Moreover the governor of Fars, Roohullah Ahmad zadeh said that the Holy Defense Congress is a cultural and intellectual movement. Pondering about Holy Defense and its wisdom and mysticism layers creates amazement.
Utopia is an ideal sample of human's society which is left in historical book's pages but Holy Defense reflects such an ambience, he added.

Addressing the poets he said: "You are the language of the movement's truth, Holy Defense history and Holy Defense."

Concluding his words he said: "Hopefully you will do your best to introduce the magnificence and capacities of the Holy Defense years by art and poetry and we will do our best to help you."

In other news, specialized stamp of 18th Holy Defense Poetry Congress was unveiled as figures like the deputy of Foundation for the preservation of relics and values of the Holy Defense publication, Commander Hamid Hesam, the foundation's coordinating deputy, Commander Mohammad Taghi Khademi, Commander Gholam Hussein Qeidpour, leader of Fars army and the province's governor, Roohullah Ahmad zadeh were present.

Moreover late holy defense veteran poet, Gholamreza Rahmdel was commemorated. And poets as Abbas Ali barati pour, Akram Bahramchi, Farzad Renood and Yasin Bahmani read poetries on Holy Defense.
