Iran, Canada scientific ties to expand

Iran's Islamic Sciences and Culture Academy (ISCA) and Bagherol-'Olum University have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Canada's Université de Montréal (UdeM).

IBNA: According to the website of Islamic Sciences and Culture Academy, chancellor of Canada's Université de Montréal Guy Breton and Sciences and Culture Academy (ISCA) and Bagherol-'Olum University, whose representative was Hujjat al-Islam Ahmad Vaezi, director of Islamic Development Office, sealed an agreement.

The MoU was singed between UdeM's Faculty of Theology and the Sciences of Religions and ISCA and Bagherol-'Olum University (BOU) considering the joint goals and interests of the institutes in cultural and scientific fields.

The agreement was based on creating and expanding the joint research activities in the fields of theology, Islamic studies, the Studies of religions, peace studies as well as Intercultural and interfaith studies.

The MoU is the only Iranian scientific agreement sealed among the 600 agreements Canada's Université de Montréal has signed with different scientific centers (some 65 countries).
