Astan Quds to repair Quranic printed copies
The CEO of Astan Quds Razavi publication Institute said the center is planning to repair a collection of old printed copies of the holy Quran and manuscripts. IBNA: "Astan Quds Razavi is one of the richest, greatest reserves of old manuscripts and scriptures in Iran," said Mahmoud Reza Barazesh in an interview with IBNA.
He said the plan will be pursued in two modes: one is the reprint of the printed volumes without any alterations. The second mode is to bring the volumes' contents out and printing them with the same layout and style.
He said the scheme has been devised with the aim of preserving valued books in the reserves section of Astan Quds libraries.
The Central Library of Astan Quds Razavi is a large library in Mashad, Iran. Established before 1457, it holds over 1.1 million volumes. It is an international center for Islamic research, containing numerous manuscripts and rare works of antiquity of Islamic history. Id : 129639 |
