The winners and praiseworthy works of the 20th Book of the Season Award were announced in a ceremony held in Sanandaj, Kurdistan Province, on June 19, 2012.

IBNA: The jury panel of the award announced 16 winners and 24 praiseworthy works for the 20th Book of the Season Award.

The works were selected from among 5,957 submitted works to the secretariat of the award. A shortlist of 228 works made way to the second round of assessments and finally 40 books were recognized as the best ones among all the submitted works.
