Attending a press conference on Sunday, the head of the Islamic Communication and Relations Organization (ICRO) said that cultural packages will be donated to children and Iranian’s 2nd and 3rd generations who reside abroad.

IBNA: The press conference was held with the attendance of the president’s advisor and the head of ICRO, Dr. Mehdi Mostafavi, the organization’s PR manager, Hussein Divsalar, and a group of media representatives.

As the 8th meeting of Iran’s cultural attaches entitled “Spiritual power cultural battle” will be held 22 February- 1 March, the organization’s PR manager, Hussein Divsalar said: “Presenting a report of the year’s Fajr decade actions alongside detailing Nowruz activities will be among the other discussions.”

Moreover the advisor to the president and the head of ICRO, Dr. Mehdi Mostafavi pointed out to Iran’s cultural activities which are expanding in foreign countries and said: “The measures should be taken in various fields and prepared schedules in line with developing cultural ties with other nations.”

He added: “With extending online webs in various languages we have tried to present cultural data, pure Islamic basics and revolution’s logic via precious books, articles, photos and as soon as possible through movies.”

Moreover we have established an “Article info stand” which is house to more than 10,000 articles. As they are presented in 4 languages we are doing our best to expand their languages and numbers. In addition we have inaugurated a website named “Islamic Revolution’s site” which holds all revolution’s related information in 5 languages and “Imam Khomeini’s information dissemination website” which presents his books, works, articles, photos and information in 4 languages, he added.

He went on to say that as we will to distribute our books through out the world we have to accomplish it via e-books. Previously the organization use to publish its well received books as e-books but currently with the help of Simorgh headquarters it is presenting Islamic Revolution and Imam Khomeini’s books, over 30 books, in 18 languages in a digital area.

The organization contains more than 40 portals around the world which are controlled by 70 cultural attaches. We present our cultural works in more than 40 languages. Hope through these portals, the e-books will be translated and published in more languages.

Talking about Nowruz programs (Iranian New Year), the head of ICRO said: “As Nowruz is a precious opportunity we have tried to organize special programs for Iranians who reside abroad and their 2nd and 3rd generation who have less information on Iranian traditions and Islamic Revolution. Beside instructions given to the attaches we will present cultural packages as well of which books will be one of them. Moreover the packages hold books for children which have a great importance.”

The meeting’s spokesman said: “In line with producing and executing the programs we used all cultural capacities and artistes as well as IRIB’s Jame Jam, Islamic Guidance and Culture Ministry (Music bureau), Institute of the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults. Moreover High Council of Iranian Affairs Abroad which is managed by the president, Mahmoud Ahmadi nejhad, has presented great facilities and capacities.

Finally he said: “Other international programs will be inviting representatives of ECO countries’ who praise Nowruz.
