Book of Diplomacy, Energy Security released
Authored by Kamel Moniri and Hamid Reza Nosrati, Diplomacy and Energy Security discusses the immediate, mutual impact of domestic and foreign diplomacy on energy security in Iran. IBNA: The book considers energy security from the standpoint of political geography and geopolitics, said Kamel Moniri in an interview with IBNA. “The book can be considered a work in international relations and political sciences if diplomacy and energy security are viewed separately,” he said.
The book begins with energy diplomacy which includes all political activities concerning production, consumption, export and import of energy carriers, he added. It shows how energy and oil can be used as a means to reach political goals.
National security, Iran’s energy backyard, and Iran’s diplomatic weaknesses and strengths dealing with westerners are some of the topics discussed in the book.
The book argues that despite sanctions against Iran by the west and the bad market in western countries for Iran’s oil in the forthcoming years, the demand for Iran’s energy carriers will boost in the east for countries like Japan and China.
The book is arranged in 296 pages and is published by Entekhab Publications. Id : 137766 |
