Hamidreza Sadr, football commentator, writer and critic has recently finished a book on Iran’s football history since the 60s.

IBNA: Titled as the Boy on Platforms, the book deals with four decades of Iran’s football since the 60s until the 2000s.

The book is in fact a chronicle of football-related events in Iran, Sadr asserted in an interview with IBNA. The work reviews football in Iran from both a social and historical point of view.

He said the book was supposed to be published and presented before the 25th Tehran International Book Fair. However, it was delayed due to certain unforeseen events.

Hamidreza Sadr is a prominent football critic, journalist and university lecturer in Iran and the Europe. Once upon a time Football, the Cursed Greece and the Hot Bench are some of his publications regarding football.

He is a football lover and has written several features on sociology, politics and football. His book Once Upon a Time Football is about politics and football but it also tells the story of the Sadr's relationship with football and sometimes relates them to his own personal life.
