Athleticism Art Week to be held

Iran Artists House is going to hold 'Athleticism Art Week' for 11-18 August in cooperation with Ferdowsi Foundation, Zurkhaneh-Athletic Sports Federation, and Institute for Developing Visual Arts. A book fair will also be held on the sidelines of the program.
IBNA: An exhibition of miniature works by Mohammad-Baqer Aghamiri, Teahouse tapestries of Master Mansour Vafaei, solo and group photography expos of 'Athletic Heritage' and 'The Sacred Arena', exhibition of Zurkhaneh art crafts and Athletic tools installment, performance of athletic songs and melodies, as well as a book and cultural products exhibition will be held on the sidelines of 'Athletic Art Week' program everyday from 17 to 20 o'clock at Momayez, Zemestan, Paiez and Mirmian galleries of Iran Artists House during August 11-18.
The unveiling of new Fashion Graphic arts is another cultural event during this week that will be held by Ferdowsi Foundation in response to the demands of young generation for new Iranian garment designs.
Accordign to Yasser Movahedfard, general manager of Ferdowsi Foundation, during Athletic Art Week all artworks related to Shahnameh and its athletic traditions at hand will also be exhibited to public view.
Holding a book fair is, according to him, another part of the cultural week in which a collection of publications by Ferdowsi Foundation in the last two weeks will be showcased.
"Mysteries of Shahnameh", "Eastern Texts Western Methods", the second volume of "Ferdowsi Studies", the bilingual Five Treasures of Ferdowsi, and "Hearts' Cottage" are some of the works to be exhibited in this fair.
The "Athletic Art Week" will be inaugurated today (Sunday 12th August) at Iran Artists House with the presence of cultural authorities, athletes and artists.
