Iranians to read Gyorgy Lukacs' political notes
Gyorgy Lukacs's political notes taken during the years 1919 to 1929 are converted into Persian by Omid Mehregan and will be released in a volume entitled as 'Bloom's Theses'. IBNA: According to Alireza Javid, culture and humanities editor of Sal'ess Publications, in these notes Lukacs analyzes the consequent events of October Revolution of 1917 and its effect on Europe as a leftist thinker.
György Lukács was a Hungarian Marxist philosopher and literary critic. He is a founder of the tradition of Western Marxism. He contributed the concept of reification to Marxist philosophy and theory and expanded Karl Marx's theory of class consciousness. Lukács was also an influential literary critic, especially in theories of realism and the novel as a literary genre. He served briefly as Hungary's Minister of Culture as part of the government of the short-lived Hungarian Soviet Republic.
'The Theory of The Novel' is his most known book in Iran, yet this is the first time his political views come available in Persian. According to culture and humanities editor of Sal'ess Publications, in this volume Lukacs speaks about the after-effects of the Russian October Revolution and Practical Marxism.
"Bloom's Theses" containing Lukacs's political notes is converted into Persian by Omid Mehregan and will be released by Saless Publications.
