Global Propagation of Quranic teachings essential: Ahmadinejad
The 20th International Quran Exhibition opened on July 15, 2012 in a ceremony held in the presence of the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Seyyed Mohammad Husseini, and a number of Quranic activists at Tehran's Grand Imam Khomeini Prayer Ground.
IBNA: In his keynote address, the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad marked the exhibition as an invaluable activity and asserted that propagation of Quranic teachings is an urgent need of the world.
“Introduction of the supreme rules in the Mahdavi government is a primary duty of the society so far as the Mahdavi government is in par with human nature and entails all its needs,” Ahmadinejad said.
“Today, we are living in a society where understanding learning and contemplating on Quranic verses are the most prevalent trend and a large number of believers and devotees are in great industry in Quran-related matters,” he added.
The president went on to say that the holy Quran is undoubtedly the greatest divine bestowment on human beings. “The Holy Quran introduces the perfect human.”
Tehran International Quan Exhibition is held annually on the threshold of the holy month of Ramadan and this year’s edition will run until August 14.
