Bradley Wiggins autobiography to reveal Olympic secrets
A new autobiography by Olympic gold medalist and Tour de France winner Bradley Wiggins will be released this November.
IBNA: According to news, a new autobiography by Bradley Wiggins, Tour de France Winner and Olympic gold medalist, will be published in hardback on 8th November by Yellow Jersey Press.
The book, Bradley Wiggins: My Time, will be a “full-length, in-depth and intimate memoir" following Wiggins “on and off the bike” during the last three Tours, while also describing his harrowing training regimes, sacrifices, and the rush of his Olympic victory so soon after his Tour de France triumph. It will be be written with William Fotheringham, the sports writer and journalist.
Matt Phillips, editorial director at Yellow Jersey Press, called Wiggins “a bona fide superstar”. Phillips paid tribute to Wiggins’ “humility” amidst outstanding success and “refreshing candour” in an environment where “sports heroes speak like PR automatons”.
Yellow Jersey Press, which describes itself as "a sports publisher with a literary edge", has also published Tour de France winners Lance Armstrong and Laurent Fignon, though Wiggins’ autobiography will be the first British Yellow Jersey winner to be published at the press. In Pursuit of Glory, Wiggins’ previous autobiography, was published by Orion in 2008.
