"Oral history of Muslim student's movement" a book jointly written by Mohammad-hassan Roozi-talab and Amir-hussein Sabeti will be released by the Islamic Revolution's documents center holding the movement's activities in 1977-2009.
IBNA: Mohammad-hassan Roozi-talab said:" Oral history is one of the main fields of the revolution's historiography. In the "Oral history of Muslim student's movement" we tried to interview the students and their groups which promoted the Islamic thoughts rather than elected ideas. The book holds these interviews."

For completing the book, we interviewed 30 people he said and added:" The figures include Dr.Ibrahim Esrafilian, the chancellor of Elm and San'at Univeristy during the first years of the Revolution's victory, Sadegh Vaez-zedeh, Dr. Gholamhussein Elham, Dr. Kamran Bagheri Lankarani, Mehdi Fazayeli, Fatima Rajabi and Seyyed Nezam-uddin Mousavi. The interviews conclude with the incidents of Iran's 2009 uprising and the 10th Iranian presidential election. Besides the interviews, the book holds articles and notes of Saeed Ziba-kalam."

Talking about the book's differences with other related works he added:" In the field of student's movements good books have been released but none of them are themed on oral history and which have gathered groups including Muslim student's organizations, student's basij, the independent association of students and the Islamic society."

Talking about whether the book was a suggestion of its publisher or not he added:" The book's subject was our own proposal, since the roots of these issues and student's organizations in the universities are among hot topics."

The book could be presented better since we lack information about some periods of time; for instance the first years following Iraq's imposed war against Iran.

Talking about the book's features he added:" The book's information opens some historical knots and presents some significant questions; like why the liberal wing was eliminated in 1981 or the incidents of the Cultural Revolution in universities and the university's situations during the Iraq-Iran's war.

The book is oral history and its sources are people, he added.

Talking about the truth of the narrations he added:" These kinds of weaknesses are common in oral history as every person recounts the incident from his own point of view. However the positive points are the expression of the untold issues."

"Oral history of Muslim student's movement" is written in 700 pages and will be released by the Islamic Revolution's documents center.
