The "Indie Kidd" at TIBF
Sheida Ranjbar will be attending the 25th Tehran International Book Fair with her latest translation named Indie Kidd. IBNA: Talking about her books which will be presented at the book fair, Ranjbar said:" Indie Kidd is a collection by Karen McCombie. The work holds 8 volumes of which 6 have been translated into Persian."
The Persian collection includes "Wow, I’m a Gazillionaire! (I Wish...)", "My Big (Strange) Happy Family", "Are We Having Fun Yet?", " Being Grown-Up Is Cool (Not)", "Me and the School (un)Fair" and " Oops, I Lost My Best(est) Friends" which have been released by Panjereh publications.
Moreover the Iranian translator has rendered "How to train your dragon?" which she is editing nowadays.
The work is written by Cressida Cowell.
The book is about the adventures of Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III, the ten-year-old son of a Viking chief, who must capture a dragon for a rite of passage. Set on the Isle of Berk, a group of ten youths of the Hooligan tribe are being led by "Gobber the Belch" to perform their first military operation; to catch their own dragon. Those who are not able to catch and train a dragon are exiled from the tribe. This military operation has to be done by every Hooligan…
The 25th Tehran International Book Fair will be held from May 2 to 12, 2012 at Tehran's Grand Imam Khomeini Prayer Ground with the motto of "A Quarter of a Century of Cultural Jihad".
