"Books convey culture & civilization"

The 8th Yad-e Yar-e Mehraban Fair inaugurated at Saturday in Goft-o-Gu Park with the attendance of Islamic Guidance and Culture Minister, Seyyed Mohammad Husseini, the Education Minister, Hamid reza Haji-babaee, Tehran's mayor, Mohammad Bager Qalibaf and the cultural deputy of Islamic Guidance and Culture Minister, Bahman Dorri.
IBNA: Before the inauguration, the Islamic Guidance and Culture Minister and Tehran's mayor visited the fair's pavilions.
During the ceremony, Seyyed Mohammad Husseini emphasized on books as tools which could convey culture and civilization and added:" We are ready to cooperate with the Education Ministry and Tehran's cultural centers; hope that the fair will be held in provinces as well."
Moreover talking about the 18th Book Week he added:" The participation of state and private institutes as well as cultural centers is among the edition's features."
In other news, Mohammad Bager Qalibaf hoped that the literati and writers consider the Sacred Defense era more than any other time.
Finally the Education Minister pointed out to the necessity of book reading during elementary schools and hoped that by the end of the year all Tehran's elementary schools will be equipped with libraries.
