Islamic Guidance and Culture Minister, Seyyed Mohammad Husseini expressed his gratitude from the organizers of the 24th Tehran International Book Fair (TIBF).

IBNA: At the beginning of the ceremony the Culture Minister said: "Tehran International Book Fair is among the events in which supreme cultural and state officials participate moreover the event is significant in its international levels."

He added that during the 10-day event the sales reached to $170,000,000 and said:" The amount is around 25% of the annual book sale which increases the significance of the TIBF."
Pointing out to the book fair's visit he added:" The event was visited by millions and considering the visitor's choice a great competition exists for the publishers and authors to boost their quality level."

Displaying precious books encourages the victors to purchase books and for the next edition, in which the book fair will celebrate its quarter of a century, a glorious event will be mounted.

In other news, the director of the 25th Tehran International Book Fair, Bahman Dorri said:" I express my gratitude from the Islamic Guidance and Culture Minister who paid attention to the great cultural event."

He underlined:" The filed of publication includes 4 pillars; first the production of science and creation of literary works, second the narration style, third the books' distribution and finally the readers."

These four pillars are displayed at the book fair and thus it is a great opportunity to recognize the strong and weak points.

Before Dorri the executive manger of the 24th TIBF, Hamid Qobadi appreciated some 70 official institutes which cooperated for the book fair.

He added that the book fair is similar to a city's management which should be held with few facilities.

Finally the Islamic Guidance and Culture Minister presented testimonial and gift to the managers of the book fair's departments as well as the institute's representatives.
