Atlas of Rare Diseases compiled

The comprehensive "Atlas of Rare Diseases" is penned by Dr Kourosh Saki and will be released by Orumieh University of Medical Sciences Press and Rare Diseases Foundation.
IBNA: Javad Karamad, managing director of Orumieh University of Medical Sciences said the work will be released in 240 illustrated pages and describes various rare diseases for specific use of medical sciences students and researchers.
As the author says in the foreword to the book, despite outstanding developments, medical sciences still face challenges and unknown problems. The low spread of rare diseases had led to negligence of thorough research in this field. On the other hand, such diseases often have genetic causes that make research even more difficult leading to undervelopment of this field of research.
The first print of "Atlas of Rare Diseases" penned by Kourosh Saki will be released in 1500 copies and 240 pages by Orumieh University of Medical Sciences Press.
