Reading a page of a book out of thousands and millions of pages is, for us, like looking through a window on brighter side of the world that is constantly calling us, tempting us to set on a journey with the frigate of a book for more and more adventures... Haj Hussein
Sometimes he made us walk off to death and then we had to roll and crawl. Of course, he did all these tasks along with us and before us. If he made us run on the rocks and thorns barefoot he was the first to take off his own boots, and whenever he had to punish the one who had made a mistake he did the punishing together along with the punished. Such behaviors had made an intimacy between the comrades and him. He knew us by names and we had made friends. He jested with us in appropriate times and in a word, he was so kind. He took part in soccer and tennis matches and running races and at times he became serious and demure.
Haj Hussein expressed a particular respect for Hazrat Zahra (S.A.) and called himself her servant. Any mention of her name brought tears in his eyes and whenever Reza Pour Ahmad, the panegyrist brother, made homage to Hazrat Fatima (S.A.), Haji lost self-control and his spirit got elated in mourning and tears. He also paid particular love and respect to Imam Khomeini and constantly asked the buddies to pray for the shining star of Jamaran.
Modesty was a special characteristic of Haj Hussein. He was so modest that sometimes he swept the rooms himself. If he found a dirty dish left somewhere he did not hesitate to wash it and deliver it to the provision center. He became a model for all combatants and loved by everybody. He stood on the last line of public prayers and never showed himself superior to others.
