Persian Academy publishes Divan Atighi
“Divan Atighi” by Jalaleddin Abdolhamid Atighi is published by the publication house of Persian Academy. The original manuscript of this Divan is held in Istanbul Fateh library. IBNA: According to the information center of Persian Academy, Jalaleddin Abdolhamid Atighi was most probably born in Tabriz in 1310. His father, Ghotbeddin Abolfazl Abdorahman was one of the great literati, scholars and orators of Azarbaijan.
According to Ibn Karbalaee in “Tabriz Ship”, Atighi was one of the great Ilkhani era clergymen. He was also a great orator who conducted speeches in the Ghasieh building of Tabriz. His orations were attended by many great literati.
Atighi was related to Sheikh Shahabeddin Mahmoud Atighi Ahari who was a Soofi descended from Sohrevardieh.
The book is the complete Divan of Jalaleddin Atighi. It is a copy of an elegant version belonging to Istanbul Fateh library.
This book was first mentioned in 1935 by Mohammad Ali Tarbiat in his book “The scholars of Azarbaijan”.
