Husseini: Precious books can present Islamic system's achievements, civilization, culture
During the closing ceremony of the Second International Precious and Artistic Books Festival, Islamic Guidance and Culture Minister said that precious books can present the Islamic system's achievements, history, civilization and culture to the world. IBNA: The closing ceremony of the Second International Precious and Artistic Books Festival was held Sunday evening, April 29. The event was attended by Islamic Guidance and Culture Minister Seyyed Mohammad Husseini, head of the Majlis library and doc's center Rasoul Jafarian as well as the manager of the festival's policymaking council Ali Akbar Ash'ari. Husseini firstly expressed his gratitude to the all those who are active in the field of precious and artistic books.
The festival has determined the standards of precious works. No one can just label his work as a precious. Since the standards have been chosen a positive competition has been formed as well, he said.
Throughout the history, Iranians have constantly tried to merge their works with art which is indeed a positive movement, he added.
He then talked about the National Festival of Persian Gulf saying that the field's books hold impressive and significant issues.
The matter is not only about the context and the book's layout should be attractive as well; like the holy Quran which holds a unique context as well as a stunning appearance, he said.
Since the book fair is approaching he added:" A special place should be considered for the precious books."
Last year we received a suggestion for allocating a special section to encyclopedias which was fulfilled as well now for the 25th edition we can consider a stall for precious and artistic books as well, Husseini noted.
The Culture Minister went on to say that the precious books can introduce our achievements, history and civilization as well as our culture to the world.
Cultural interactions with other countries particularly neighboring states can be fulfilled through such festivals, he stated.
He went on to say that in the world of Islam many are eager to know about Iran, thus the historical mission can be accomplished as different forms. Id : 135776 |
