12 Jun 2012 13:14
Ghasem Yahusseini is compiling a book titled as the Oral History of the Islamic Revolution in Bushehr which encompasses the revolution events in the province as reviewed by its citizens.
IBNA: In an interview with IBNA, Yahusseini said that one of the concerns of oral history projects in other Iranian cities rather than Tehran is the lack of references and the book is intended to become a resource of the city’s oral history projects about the Islamic Revolution.

As he said, several titled have released in Bushehr province on the Sacred Defense in the province; however, very few ones have been published on the role of Bushehr men and women in the Islamic Revolution.

To complete his book, Yahusseini had to interview with over 100 men and women in his province. “I collected their memories from the years of 1977 to 1979 which became over a thousand pages.”

He chose his interviewees from among the lowest social strata who have no voice in history and are never taken seriously in such research projects.

He went on to say that the book reviews the events through the viewpoint of mechanics, butchers, housewives, etc.
