"IBNA", "Book of the Week" sweep awards at Festival of "Superior media & books"
Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) and Book of the Week journal were hailed in the 10th Festival of "Superior media & books". IBNA: The Festival of "Superior media & books" is held annually during the last day of the Book Week of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The event's 10th edition was held this year in sections including "Reports", "Conversations", "News", "Notes and articles" and "Introduction of Books".
Similar to the previous edition the reporters of IBNA and Book of the Week journal bagged their awards in different book-related news and journalism.
Reports:
"Book of the Week" journal grabbed the first prize for "Antiques as precious and stunning Shahnamehs" penned by Anahid Khazir who is indeed the reporter of IBNA's history and geography desk.
Anahid Khazir graduated in architecture from the Art University of Tehran and studied Journalism at the Media Studies and Research Center.
She has been commemorated several times in festivals including the 3rd International festival of media and cultural heritage, 3rd Tourism festival, as well as the 7th and 9th Festival of "Superior media & books".
Her first book "Fravahar Symbol" was published in 2010 and her "Culture and Civilization of the Medes" is under publication.
The 2nd prize was awarded to IBNA's reporter as well. The report entitled "The books are even getting choked in Tehran" is penned by Akram Dashtban who is a graduate of Social sciences.
Last year she was a runner up in the Report section of the Festival of "Superior media & books" for "What is Future doing down the cup?".
Conversation:
The Book Week journal received the 2nd and 3rd place.
The 2nd prize was bagged by Parvaneh Tavakoli for "Salman; narrator of my three selves". She was commemorated in the report section as well.
Tavakoli is a graduate of Persian language and literature.
The 3rd award was grabbed by Laya Derafshe for her "Derrida confronting Freud". She is currently a Book of the Week's literary critic and reporter.
Derafshe is a graduate of history.
"Introduction of Books":
Farzam Shirzadi was selected as the 3rd for "Where have literary giants gone?" which was released in Sharg daily. Shirzadi is currently IBNA's Vice Editor-in-Chief.
He has been awarded in the 1st, 4th, 7th and 10th editions of Festival of "Superior media & books".
News:
Maryam Asadi Jafari, IBNA's reporter, was selected as the 3rd for "55000 of SAVAK reports and documents about the traitor Shah". She was hailed in the report section as well.
The 10th Festival of "Superior media & books" was held on Sunday evening with the attendance of Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Mohammad Husseini and Cultural Deputy of Guidance Ministry Bahman Dorri in Tehran's Culture, Arts and Architecture Research Center.
