A book by Mohammad Reza Damroudi, a Sacred Defense suffering from complete spinal cord injury (SCI), has penned a book titled Walkers and Riders and has had it displayed at TIBF by Amir Kabir.
IBNA: Visiting the 25th Tehran International Book Fair, Mohammad Reza Damroudi had an interview with IBNA stating that despite their SCI, most of the injured Sacred Defense veterans are engaged in various fields of science; however, “my book is the first book of this kind by an author with complete SCI.”
The book encompasses 15 short stories about the life of a complete SCI Sacred Defense veteran.
“I wrote the book to show the public how things would be different for a man with complete spinal cord injury,” he added.
He also stated that he has other works to publish but waits to see the feedback from his first publication.
The 25th Tehran International Book Fair is being held at Tehran's Grand Imam Khomeini Prayer Ground and will run through May 12, 2012.
