Dictionary of Iranian myths by professor Nemat Bildirim of Ataturk University in Erzurum is published in Turkey for the first time. IBNA: According to the organization of cultural and Islamic relations' general office of public relations, Professor Nemat Bildirim the professor of Persian literature in Ataturk University in Erzurum has published a dictionary of Iranian myths after 5 years of research. The book has 820 pages and is published by Kabalji publications.
The preface of the book reads: "Iran is a large country; therefore its myths and its people's beliefs are also complicated. It has always been a bridge between eastern and western civilizations and therefore has borrowed many of their myths".
In one of the preface's sections, Bildirim introduces the concepts of Myth, the origins of myth, the use of myth, ancient Iran's religions, Izadi (godly) heroes, Zoroastrian myths, good and bad powers, Ahuramazda and Ahriman, myth and creation, human's first parents, life after death, heaven and hell , etc.
