The closing ceremony of the 25th Tehran International Book Fair was held at Tehran's Grand Imam Khomeini Prayer Ground in the presence of Vice President Mohammad Reza Rahimi.

IBNA: “Obtaining the first place in the Middle East and the 10th one in the world in cultural matters shows Iran’s developments,” said Mohammad Reza Rahimi in his address.

Rahimi asserted that the book fair has no examples in the region which shows the attention cast on the event by Iran’s officials.

He further remarked the initiative to invite organizers of the former 24 editions of the fair to celebrate a quarter of a century of cultural jihad.

He also commented on the venue of the book fair saying that the preliminaries of a new site for the showcase will begin in the near future so the fair will be held in a place proper for its potentials.

He went on to say that as many as 330,000 book titles were published under Ahmadinejad administration which is equal to all the publications of the Islamic Republic before the administration.
