124 Books on Islamic premises under translation

13 Dec 2011 16:28
The conversion of 124 exquisite books – by eminent figures such as Ali Shariati, Ayatollah Motahari and Ayatollah Javadi Amoli – to other languages is on the agenda of the Center for Organizing Translation and Publication.
IBNA: According to Mohammad-Ali Shah-Hosseini, director of the Center for Organizing Translation and Publication, last year about a hundred volumes were selected for translation after assessment of the audiences' needs held by Iranian cultural attachés in different countries.

According to these assessments, a hundred selected books are to address the needs and questions of non-Muslims in the field of Islamic premises. Some of the issues discussed offer a better understanding of Muslims for non-Muslim readers, he continued.
According to Shah-Hosseini, books to be published in various places of the world like the west, Africa, and India have major differences with each other considering the needs of the audiences.

He also mentioned that some of these translations are already finished – such as works by Shahid Motahari, the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Mesbah Yazdi, Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi, Ayatollah Javadi Amoli, Ayatollah Abbas-ali Amid Zanjani, Allameh Jafari, Dr Jafar Shahidi and Ali Shariati.
