The general manger of Book House Institute, Ali Shojaee Saeen said: "Biennial Festival of "Persian Gulf" Book is to be established in order to honor the efforts of writers and translators who publish works about the Persian Gulf. The award's closing ceremony will be held on the Persian Gulf National Day in 2011."

IBNA: Ali Shojaee Saeen said: "According to the ratification of the Book House Institute's board of trustees and Hormozgan's Islamic Guidance and Culture administration the festival's first edition will be held next year in order to commemorate works of Persian Gulf writers and translators."

He added: "According to the initial agreements and negotiations, during the first edition historical, cultural, social and political books in particular books published on Persian Gulf's maps and geography following the Islamic Revolution will be assessed."

Moreover he asserted that from the 2nd edition books which are published during 2 continuous festivals will be judged.

He explained that the festival will be held in 2 national and Hormozgan province level.

The award's national secretariat will be located in the Book House Institute and the provincial secretariat of Hormozgan's Islamic Guidance and Culture administration.

Finally he said that the award's closing ceremony will be held on the Persian Gulf National Day in 2011.
