Celibataires hits Iranian bookshelves

'Les Celibataires' (The Singles) a play by David Foenkinos is converted into Persian by Sanaz Fallahfard. This is the only play by this writer and his first book to appear in Persian.

IBNA: Fallahfard said, "The play 'Les Celibataires' is contemporary French novelist David Foenkinos's only play and his first book that ever appears in Persian." 

David Foenkinos was born in 1974. He is a French author and screenwriter. He studied literature and music in Sorbonne but is well-known for his novels. His novel La délicatesse (Delicacy) is a bestseller in France and made him one of the top five literary figures of France in 2011. 

Referring to his literary prizes, Fallahfard said: "The writer has won 6 literary prizes including the François Mauriac Award. Foenkinos has also adapted one of his novels to screenplay that is directed by his brother and won the 2012 César Award for Best Film." 

The play 'Les Celibataires' is penned by David Foenkinos, converted to Persian by Sanaz Fallahfard and published in 63 pages by Afraz Publications. 

Fallahfard is also translator of Yasmina Reza's 'Le dieu du carnage' (God of Carnage) that is released by Nila Publicatinos.
