The 12th issue of the Islamic Revolution Diary series in assessment of the Shah’s flee from the country has been prepared by Mirzabagher Alian Nejad. The issue will be published by Soreie Mehr Publications.

IBNA: Alian Nejad has prepared the volume about a year ago, said he in an interview with IBNA.

As he said, the book encompasses the events of January 16 to 19, 1979 in Iran including interview with Imam Khomeini in Neauphle-le-Château, the nation’s uprising on January 16 in the Khuzestan Province after Shah’s exit from the country and the army’s crackdown, national demonstrations on January 18, 1979.

Moreover, issues like internal actions of militant groups, the formation of the Revolutionary Council, the efforts of the welcome committee of Imam Khomeini and activities of the revolution’s for and against fronts are included in the volume, he added.

He went on to say that credited references were resorted to for completion of the book such as various issues of Keyhan Daily, Etelaat Newspaper, secret SAVAK documents released after the revolution and many other books.

He further added that as many as 200 pictures are added in the volume. The pictures depict figures, caricatures, national demonstrations and extracts of some documents about the Islamic Revolution.
