Book House Issued: Call for works for 2nd Persian Gulf Festival
The secretariat of the second Persian Gulf Festival has issued the call for works for the festival. IBNA: The festival is aimed at introducing and supporting for writers, translators, and editors in Iran and the world who have works themed at Persian Gulf.
The panel of judges for the festival will consider books, papers, and university thesis on one of the following grounds:
1. The Persian Gulf history (political, general) and anti-colonial uprisings in the region, documents, travelogues and folk lore 2. Geography of the Persian Gulf, documents and maps and Dialects 3. Literature (fiction and poetry) 4. Articles published in connection with the above three categories
All the works published in the past two years in Persian or other languages including non-Persian theses published in the past 30 years will be considered by the judges.
Interested poets, translators, editors, and university students may submit their works to the secretariat of the festival by December 20, 2012 on No. 1080, Book House Institute, South Palestine St., Enghelab St., Tehran, Iran.
