The numbers released by the Book House Institute indicate that as many as 8,170 titles released in the Iranian book market in the first two months of the current year in the Persian calendar.

IBNA: According to the public relations office of the Book House Institute, the number is 4% larger than the number of books published last year during the same period.

The released titles are 1,358 titles in practical sciences, 1,314 titles in religious matters, 1,243 in children’s titles, 1,046 literary titles, 902 titles on social sciences and 561 educational titles.

By and large, educational titles have increased more than all other categories with a 52% increase in the number of published titles in comparison to the previous year.

From a different perspective, the number of compilations has grown 8% as the number for translated titles is 8% lower than the previous year.
