Poems of a Tajik poet "My Sorrowful Republic" released in London
Entitled "My Sorrowful Republic", the 3rd poetry collection of Tajik poet Rostam Ajami has been released in London by H&S Media in Persian and Cyrillic. IBNA: The collection holds 58 new poetries and 18 new odes which are mostly my personal experiences, Ajami told IBNA.
Since most of his poems are themed on social issues he added:" The poems speak of a universal society while many people are born being unaware of many things, they live like that and die so."
Talking about the features of his works he added:" I never consider a special structure and subject for my poems, but my feelings influenced by my world appear like terms and poems."
In other words I don’t allow myself to consider a special theme for composing. The collection of "My Sorrowful Republic" was formed so as well, he added.
He then talked about his two previous works saying that his other poetry collections were printed in Tehran. The 3rd book is the only work which is released outside Iran in Cyrillic and Persian. The poems included in "My Sorrowful Republic" totally differ from my other two works he added.
He went on to say that "My Sorrowful Republic" express my emotional bond with all Persian-language people who are far from each other. I like to remove the boundaries which are created by the lands and I believe that such a thing will happen.
In other news he said that he has done some researches about Tajik poetry and Tajikistan's folklore which he has decided to publish.
Moreover he added that he will release his new poems as a book in the future.
Rostam Ajami was born in 1983 in Tajikistan. He holds a Persian language and literature MA and BA from the University of Tehran while currently he is a Persian language and literature PhD student in Iran. Id : 138060 |
