IBNA: The Strangers is about a young boy’s, Naser, who shelters a stranger girl who has fled her house. The story is narrated like puzzle pieces and the reader should find the pieces from various parts of the book to make out the storyline. For example, in parts, the book deals with Naser’s childhood memories and his love for a girl and somewhere else it tells the readers about his life and the place he lived in.

In the book, the writer has tried to delve into the social and mystical aspects of Strangeness. In an interview he previously had with IBNA, he has said that the concept of strangeness has both social and religious applications. The term has also been considered in classical literary works a lot to denote the meaning that one is not trustworthy enough to be told secrets.

Different sections of the book are titled as Yesterday, A few months later, A few days later and A few months ago.

Born in 1980, Yaser Norouzi is a Tehran university graduate in Persian language and literature. He works with the media and is a freelance reporter for a number of recognized journals in Iran.

The 25th Tehran International Book Fair will be held at Tehran's Grand Imam Khomeini Prayer Ground from May 2 to 12, 2012.
