North Khorasan book fair kicks off Azimi: Cultural programs should be in line with cultural defense
Talking about the 7th North Khorasan book fair, Managing Director of Iranian Cultural Fairs Institute (ICIF) said that cultural defense should be organized in all cultural programs. IBNA: North Khorasan province is hosting the 213th provincial book fair and the 7th North Khorasan book fair. The fair, which kicked off on Tuesday, will wrap up on Monday, September 3.
Managing Director of Iranian Cultural Fairs Institute Mohammad Azimi said that the matter of cultural defense against soft war has been recently considered in Iran. Soft war and cultural invasion are among significant issues thus cultural defense should be organized in all cultural programs.
The enemies are determined to weaken the people’s thoughts and cultures via different cultural, artistic and literary methods. The people’s beliefs should be reinforced and they should step towards battling cultural invasion in which different cultural tools including books and journals can be used, he added.
Managing Director of Iranian Cultural Fairs Institute added: “The 7th North Khorasan book fair is house to precious books, related with soft war and cultural invasion, and will hold sidelines programs hosting expert speakers in the field of issues related to soft war.
Azimi said: “125 pavilions have been set up at the 7th North Khorasan book fair. Moreover 15 special stalls of North Khorasan province have been established at the fair. The fair is presenting 20,000 book titles in different fields including sacred defense, children and teenagers, philosophy and history, literature, poetry and law as well as academic works.
Not only the 7th North Khorasan book fair, but all the provincial book fairs present books related to their province’s artistic, literary and cultural features.
The books presented at the book fair are presented with a 40% discount, 20 presented by the Islamic Guidance and Culture Ministry and 20 offered by the publisher.
