Hojjat al-Islam Hamid Mohammadi: Building an Islamic civilization requires production of Quranic sciences
The Islamic Guidance and Culture Minster’s advisor in Quranic affairs said that unveiling precious Quranic works is a step towards building an Islamic civilization. IBNA: The unveiling ceremony of precious Quranic works was held last night, August 7, which was attended by Islamic Guidance and Culture Minister Seyyed Mohammad Husseini, manager of the 20th Quran International Exhibition Hojjat al-Islam Hamid Mohammadi and director of Iran’s National Foundation of computer Games Behroz Minaie.
During the ceremony, manager of the 20th Quran International Exhibition said: “During the previous years, great events toke place in line with promoting Quranic culture. Three commissions of “Public instruction of Quran”, “Research” and “The commission of advertising and promotion” are among the significant active Quranic centers. Entering the field of Quran, the centers have fulfilled great activities for developing Quranic culture.”
The Islamic Guidance and Culture Minster’s advisor in Quranic affairs pointed out to the Supreme Leader’s statements on building a Quranic civilization and added: “Unveiling precious Quranic works is a step towards the aim. Building an Islamic ummah is the peak of Iran’s Quranic movements and it wouldn’t be fulfilled without the production of Quranic science.”
He added: “Islam is a religion which has a new word in every field. The Islamic Republic of Iran is based on Quranic and Islamic instructions and thus the system is invincible.” He went to on to say that the production of Quranic software requires attention. The pure truth of the Quran raises from the nature thus Quran is a universal book; since the nature of all humans are similar.
Moreover, the public relations manager of Iran’s Quran publishing center delivered a speech. Talking about the center’s activities he said: “Nowadays the society needs a legible Quran with an elegant handwriting. The center has provided a computer font of Arabic and Iranian copies.”
At the end of the ceremony a copy of the Holy Quran, which was calligraphed by Alireza Behdani in gold-honey ink, was unveiled.
The 20th International Qur’an Exhibition is underway at Tehran’s Grand Prayer Ground (Mosalla) with the motto ‘Qur’an, Culture of Awakening’.
Nearly 50 foreign and 160 Iranian publishers are taking part in the prestigious event which is hosting Qur’an researchers, interpreters and scholars from across the Islamic world.
Over 50 states, including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Turkey, Tajikistan, Iraq, Afghanistan, Thailand and Syria are participating in the event.
