"7th Int'l assembly of Persian language and literature professors" will be held in Tehran University in order to assess the condition of Persian language and literature in the world, introduce new researches and experience's exchange. The assembly is slated to run January 17 and 18, 2011.

IBNA: The secretary of the "7th Int'l assembly of Persian language and literature professors", Vafaee said: "International assembly of Persian language and literature professors is held biennially with an object to gather the professors from all over the world to exchange experiences and gain information about Persian language."

As Iran is the cradle of Persian language he went on to say that according to the matter the other aim is identified as well. It pursues honoring those who serve Persian language and literature. The conference will be a great opportunity to invite and honor the professors who have expanded Persian language and literature.

The university professor added:" More than 200 Persian language professors have been invited. Moreover foreign guests from all continents and countries will attend the conference."

Talking about the 7th conference traits he went on to say that we have tried to emphasize on the contemporary literature and post Islamic literature; since this part of it has remained unknown in foreign countries as its works weren’t converted into other languages.

Interested individuals could send their works to the secretariat until September 6 which is announced as a deadline. So far 40 articles have been sent to the secretaries of the 7th assembly. Experiences show that during the 2 day conference and considering the workshops and side line sessions only 50 articles could be presented, he added.

In other news he said that the articles of "6th Int'l assembly of Persian language and literature professors" will be released a 1200-page book. Furthermore we have decided to release the 7th assembly's articles as a book as well.

The presented articles could be about "Assessing the methods of instructing Persian language and literature", "Assessing Persian language and literature educational books", "Assessing e-software of instructing Persian language and literature", "Assessing the educational programs of Persian language and literature in foreign countries" and "Assessing the translation of Persian literary works into other languages."

He went on to say that "Methods of expanding Persian language and literature in foreign countries", "The impact of Persian language and literature on other nation's language and literature", "The spiritual attractions of Persian language and literature", "Assessing contemporary Persian literature" and "Getting to know Persian language and literature electronic sources" are among other themes.
