  History researchers to enjoy "Iran during the occupation" exhibition

During the opening ceremony of "Iran during the occupation" exhibition, held yesterday morning, Director of National Library and Archives of Iran (NLAI) Ishaq Salahi said:" The exhibit will be appropriate for history researchers and scholars to investigate more."
IBNA: The opening ceremony of "Iran during the occupation" was held Tuesday morning, September 6, with the attendance of NLAI director Ishaq Salahi as well as the organization's employees, deputies and media fellows.

During the ceremony Ishaq Salahi said:" Germany was defeated in WWI and in order to make up for the humilities it fired up the WWII and the war entered many other countries as well."

He added that the modern countries of the 20th century proved how they respected the law of survival struggle and for executing the law millions of innocent people were killed and disabled.

Salahi added:" The Allied Countries in particular the UK and Soviet Union invaded Iran however Iran had announced it impartiality in the WWII."

He went on to say that UK, the U.S. and Soviet Union looked to Iran as a victory bridge although Iran didn’t have any share of it, the countries have paid damages yet.

Since Iran has demanded the damages payments he added:" The collection of Iran's occupation has been released in five volumes by the president's office."

The exhibition includes 130 documents mostly about the damages caused by the occupation in Iran.

The exhibition has been organized to mark the 70th anniversary of the occupation and will run until October 7.


In other news, documents of the WWII memories have been displayed in a separate part as well, which holds 13 memories of the Allies army presence during the WWII in Iran.

The memories are narrated by people who were in Iran during the war although some of them demised.

Moreover pictures of Iran's condition during the WWII have been displayed.
